Do I need to be present at the auction?
No, you don’t need to attend the auction in person; however, you are more than welcome to join. Our experienced team will attend the auction on your behalf and place bids strategically to increase your chances of securing the property.
Will an auction bidding agent help me save money?
Yes, we’re here to ensure you don’t overpay for a property. Our agents are skilled at reading the auction dynamics, and we know when to walk away if a deal no longer makes sense. We help you stay focused and avoid emotional decisions that could lead to overspending.
Should you bid first at an auction?
It depends on the auction, the number of other buyers, and the starting price. Before the auction, we develop a strategy tailored to the property and the situation. If we believe bidding first gives you the best chance of success, that’s the approach we’ll take.
Is there a cooling-off period for buying at an auction in Queensland?
Unfortunately, there is no cooling-off period when buying at an auction in Queensland. Once you’re the highest bidder, you enter into a legally binding contract and must proceed with the purchase; even if the property doesn’t pass inspections, you change your mind, or you can’t afford the price. This is why having a professional by your side is so important. We know your limits and help ensure you make a confident, well-informed decision so you don’t have any regrets.
